The Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba is pleased to announce Blair Yakimoski as its candidate in the constituency of Transcona for the upcoming election in April.
“Blair’s background as a business owner, as well as his extensive experience as a volunteer in a wide range of community initiatives, make him a strong member of the PC team,” said PC Leader Brian Pallister. “I look forward to working with Blair as we strive to bring a change for the better to the residents of Transcona, and to all Manitobans.”
Blair is a former owner of Plessis IGA in Transcona. As a volunteer, he has long been active with the Children’s Hospital Foundation, Folklorama, the Knights of Columbus and the City of Winnipeg’s library advisory committee. Blair has also recently been a director and president, respectively, of the Rossmere and Transcona PC constituency associations.
The PC Party is continuing to build momentum across Manitoba, and has almost completed the nomination process for the election with 55 candidates in the 57 constituencies. Of those nominated candidates, 18 are women.
