In 2011, Greg Selinger ran on a promise not to raise taxes.
But right after his re-election he raised the PST to 8% after applying it to dozens of new products and services.
He increased taxes by more than any other province in Canada and by more than any government in modern Manitoba history.
Now, he is set to raise the PST once again after making $6.7 billion in promises in the throne speech.
Only Brian Pallister and the PC team has committed to rolling back the PST to 7%.

Our PC government has submitted its response to the federal government on its proposed backstop and benchmarks for carbon pricing, Premier Brian Pallister announced today.
The response highlights the significant investments Manitobans have made in renewable energy and also notifies of the province’s decision to seek a legal opinion on its right to develop its own ‘made-in-Manitoba’ plan.
