The vote tax is a subsidy designed by the NDP to give $600,000 in taxpayer money to political parties each year.
The NDP received 46% of the votes in 2011 and receives 46% of $600,000 each year.
Our PC Party has refused to accept the taxpayer-funded political subsidy since its creation in 2013.
Money that could be spent on health care, education, or a number of other high priority front line services is instead being used by the Selinger NDP for political staff and false attack ads!
Taxpayers shouldn’t pay for political advertising. We agree. The NDP & Liberals don't.

Our PC government has submitted its response to the federal government on its proposed backstop and benchmarks for carbon pricing, Premier Brian Pallister announced today.
The response highlights the significant investments Manitobans have made in renewable energy and also notifies of the province’s decision to seek a legal opinion on its right to develop its own ‘made-in-Manitoba’ plan.
